Pink Floyd was an English band that was formed in 1965 by Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Roger Waters, and Richard Wright. They are one of the best bands in the history if music and they have become so due to their experimentation with different styles such as progressive, melodic and psychedelic rock. Their lyrics are also considered some of the best. They were inducted in 1996 into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and have sold over 250 million records.

The Eagles were and American band that was formed in 1971 by Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner. They are one of the best-selling bands of all time (>150 million records) and in 1988, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their song and album ‘Hotel California’ are both classics in the history of rock music.
 

Billy Joel is an American pianist, song-writer and composer. He’s one of the best-selling artists in the US since he released his first single ‘Piano Man’. He’s the legend that has created classics as big as ‘Piano Man’ or ‘Uptown Girl’; and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Sir Elton John is a song-writer, composer and pianist from England. He’s one of the best-selling artists in the world (>300 million records) and also one of the most talented. He was given six Grammy Awards, five Brit Awards, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Tony Award, a Disney Legend award, and the Kennedy Center Honors. He’s also a great activist in favor of sexual equality (LGBT) and same-sex marriage.

The Police was an English rock band formed in 1977 by Sting (lead singer, bassist), Andy Summers (guitarist) and Stewart Copeland (drummer). Their musical style was influenced by punk, jazz and reggae; and they were one of the biggest bands in the late 70s and 80s. They’ve received several awards (six Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, an MTV Video Music Award) and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Eric Clapton is one of the best guitarists in the history of rock music. He’s also a singer and songwriter. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times (once as a solo artist and separately as a member of the Yardbirds and Cream). They way he manages to play is simply beautiful and unique. He’s truly gifted.

The Bee Gees were an English band formed in 1958 by brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. They became one of the best and most important bands in the 70s, during the era of disco. They were the ones to create the soundtrack for ‘Saturday Night Fever’ and the theme song for ‘Grease’. Their Hall of Fame citation says: Only Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Garth Brooks and Paul McCartney have outsold the Bee Gees.
